Performance, Theatre Roxy, Basel CH

Secondskin is a dance piece for 3 dancers. It is about the limitations of physical capacities and the shifting of perception and identity. The performer’s bodies become the scene of shifting expressions and states of consciousness. Internal and external images collide. The bodies become blurry, transitory and associative, moving in vision of sounds, word fragments, and imaginary geometry. By drawing on their own experiences and memories, they examine how the past has marked their bodies and to which degree this determines their presence.

'Things are not always as they seem to be at first glance, particularly in the sphere of behaviour. What might appear to be the obvious reason for a series of actions may not fully indicate the underlying and driving forces behind it.’
